Five Farman F1-40bis Type Militaire 60 dual control two-seat trainers were delivered to the Belgian Air Service's pilot school at
Juvisy-sur-Orge (F.). in late 1917. They were readily distinguishable because of the completely covered 160hp Renault V8 8Gb
engine and the lateral radiator.
