Stampe Vertongen SV-4B V-2

Stampe Vertongen SV-4B V-2 ran into problems near Genk on April 14th 1949 and had to make an emergency landing in which the undercarriage was torn off.

Fortunately the pilot escaped with minor injuries and the silver doped V-2 was repaired and was later flown from Evere to Belgian Congo.

For the train spotters amongst us, the steam loco is a Type 29 "Consolidation" built by the Canadian Locomotive Company (CLC)
