Pilot Julien Meunier poses in front of the Sabca-prototype Renard Epervier. As first Belgian all-metal design two prototypes of the Renard Epervier were constructed (one by Stampe Vertongen at Deurne and one by Sabca at Haren). Only the Sabca build machine (as illustrated) wore Belgian military markings with code C-1. No series production evolved as the Fairey Firefly was selected as the new Aéronautique Militaire fighter.
