De Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth OO-CKS

This De Havilland DH.82A Tiger Moth first served with the South African Air Force as "AF 1531" (c/n 3663) and later was registered ZS-ANU. Sold in Belgian Congo to Léon SONCK (father of Baha-member Jean-Pierre and seen here to the left of instructor pilot Cpt. Boonen), the biplane was registered OO-CKS on 14.7.1953 and was based at Kaminaville. Later the Tiger was sold to the Aéroclub of Jadotville still keeping its registration, subsequently becoming 90-CKS.
